: Okay, boys. Move back with those hoses.
: Clear the area.
: All set, Dr. Quest?
: We're ready.
: Are you all set, Race?
: All set to go, doctor.
: What is your father going to do, Jonny?
: He's going to put that fire out if he can.
: How's he going to do that?
: With some new kind of firebomb, Hadji.
: It works by remote control.
: Remote control?
: I hope it works, Jonny.
: Oh, me too.
: [barks]
Jonny: And that makes it unanimous, eh, Bandit?
: If this particular firebomb is successful, Race it could be the answer to these destructive flash oil well fires.
: How does it work, doctor?
: Actually, quite simply.
: The bomb operates on the same principle as blowing out a match.
: That's a pretty big match to blow out.
: Yes, I know, but here goes.
: Let's hope she doesn't jump the track.
: [intense music]
: So far so good.
: I hope the heat from that fire doesn't buckle the tracks.
: [fire crackling]
: About 30 feet to go, doctor.
: Alright.
: Easy, now. Easy.
: It's in position.
: This is it.
Race: I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
: [air hissing]
: [fire crackling]
both: Yay! It worked!
: Yippee! Yay!
: [barks]
: Well, score another bull's-eye for science, doctor.
: Yes. It's gratifying when we can come up with the right answers.
: Nice work, doctor.
: Glad I could help.
: Now, you'd better cool off your well with that water.
: Right, sir.
: Douse that well down, boys.
: Boy, that worked great, dad.
: Thanks, son.
: Now you know bombs can be useful too.
: Oh, Dr. Quest.
: Yes?
: Phone call for you.
: I'll be right there.
: Yes, governor?
: Yes?
: It sounds serious.
: Now, you can rely on me.
: We'll leave immediately.
: Thank you, Dr. Quest.
: It is most urgent.
: We shall be waiting.
: Yes. Goodbye, doctor.
: How innocent and harmless you look, Tahawa.
: [intense music]
: What's that down there?
: Island of Bahiti, Jonny.
Race: There's the problem.
: Mt. Tahawa.
: Doesn't look very dangerous.
: Looks peaceful. Let's go down for a closer look, dad.
: Not now. It's too risky, boys.
: If that volcano is alive, it could go again any time.
: Go right on in, Race.
: The governor's waiting for us.
: I've never thought of trying the bomb on a volcano, governor.
: Is there any chance that it might work?
: Well, perhaps a larger charge might seal it off.
Governor: Will you try it?
Dr. Quest: I'd like to take a look at Mount Tahawa first from the air.
Governor: There is a plane in the hangar next to your quarters at your disposal, doctor.
Dr. Quest: Fine. We'll take off directly after breakfast tomorrow.
: We are grateful, Dr. Quest, that you..
: [rumbling]
: Hey, what's happening?
: It's Mount Tahawa. Look.
: boom That is the seventh time this month, Dr. Quest.
: Strange, isn't it, Race?
: Yes. Very strange.
: Doesn't act like a volcano.
: No, it doesn't.
: Alright, governor. We'll have a closer look at it tomorrow.
: Thank you, doctor.
Governor: It is terrifying, no?
Dr. Quest: More interesting than terrifying, governor.
: [intense music]
: [theme music]
: [dramatic music]
: Simon 11 calling headquarters.
: This is headquarters.
: Put me through to Simon 1.
Simon 11: This is important.
: Is that all, 11?
: No, there is more!
Simon 11 on wireless: The name is Dr. Quest and the one with him is named Race Bannon.
: Very good, Simon 11, now get back to your station.
Simon-One: Simon-One calling Dr. Zin.
: Simon-One calling Dr. Zin.
: [instrumental music]
Simon-One on wireless: Simon-One calling Dr. Zin.
: Simon-One calling Dr. Zin.
Dr. Zin: What is it, One?
: We have completed series two of our volcano explosion.
: And the results?
Simon-One on wireless: 100. Perfect shots.
: Good. Very good.
: [Dr. Zin laughs]
: After our final tests, this new destructive force will be available to those who can pay and they will.
: There is just one thing, Dr. Zin.
: A Dr. Quest has arrived on the island.
: Dr. Quest.
: Are you sure?
: Yes, Dr. Zin. They plan to fly over the crater tomorrow.
: Well, stop them.
: Stop them, do you hear?
: Yes, Dr. Zin.
: You have ways.
: Use them.
: Yes, Dr. Zin.
: That is all.
: You know where Dr. Quest sleeps.
: And you know what to do.
: Yes, One.
: We know what to do.
: [alarm ringing]
: [intense music]
: [instrumental music]
: [intense music]
: [growling]
: What's up, Bandit?
: Huh? Oh, no!
: What's wrong, Jonny?
Jonny: Look! On my dad!
: Holy smoke!
: A tarantula.
: Dad, dad, don't move.
: Don't move.
: Keep very still.
: Hey, Race. I have an idea I think will work.
: I think I follow you.
: Go ahead.
: Here goes.
Jonny: I got him!
: And I got him.
: crash You got him alright.
: Yuck. What a mess!
: Hey. Does anyone here smell smoke?
: Yes. I do, Race.
: I do too.
: Hey, look!
: The hangar's on fire.
: [dramatic music]
: Let's go.
: We got to save the plane.
: Keep those hoses going, fellas.
: Better hurry, Race. Those gas tanks are liable to go.
: I'm beginning to think someone's trying to keep us away from Mount Tahawa.
: Yeah. I'm getting the same message.
: We'll leave in the morning regardless.
Race: Kind of figured you'd say that.
: [dramatic music]
: There they go, Jonny.
: Yeah. And I sure wish we were going along.
: Looks pretty quiet.
: Yes. We'll see.
: When you get closer, Race, circle the crater a few times.
Race: Right, doctor.
: I just hope that volcano doesn't start acting up again.
: Me too.
: [airplane droning]
Simon-Three on radio: Simon-Three calling Simon-One.
: Go ahead, Three.
: Aft and clear at five miles.
: Altitude, 3500 feet.
: Very good. Maintain position until within initial ray range.
Simon-Three on radio: Will maintain.
: [whooshing]
Simon-Three on radio: Three miles and closing.
: I'm turning the circuit over to you.
: Give me the scope.
: Take descent.
: Raise initial ray platform to firing position.
: Open crater firing ports.
Simon-Three on radio: Open the crater floor.
: What do you make of that?
: I can't quite figure it out.
: Let's proceed with caution.
: Standby to fire.
: Hold it.
: Hold it.
: Steady now.
: Fire!
: [beeping]
: What was that?
: An invisible ray.
: Obviously some kind of electronic beam.
: Take evasive action.
: [intense music]
: [beeping]
: Uh-oh, they've got us zeroed in.
: Increase power to 1-0-3.
Simon-Three on radio: Power increased to 103.
: Hold. Hold on target.
: Fire!
: [beeping]
: I'm afraid that one did it, doctor. Fasten your seat belt.
: They're on fire, Hadji!
: It's no use, doctor.
: My controls are frozen.
: We'll have to bail out.
: Look, parachutes.
Jonny: Wow, they jumped. Yippee!
: [instrumental music]
: We've got to help them.
: Sergeant, isn't there any way we can get out there?
: Yes. We have a car.
Jonny: Well, come on, then.
: Let's get going.
: Alert the patrols. Get them and bring them to the control room.
: Gee, I hope they're alive, Hadji.
: Me too. Can't we drive any faster?
: I am trying, but these roads are dangerous.
: When will you realize I do not care for your interference?
: If I was fortunate enough to interfere with any of your diabolical schemes, it was a pleasure.
: What I have in mind for you and Race Bannon will not be a pleasure.
: Please. Don't go to any trouble.
: Have you wondered what we do here?
Dr. Quest: Naturally.
: We are in the final stages of perfecting the greatest destructive force known to man.
: It will be made available to any country or individual that can pay.
: That's madness.
: And I have planned an exquisite end for you.
Simon-Three on radio: Calling Simon-One.
: Calling Simon-One.
Simon-One: Simon-One here.
Simon-Three: Side scanners report car approaching at high speed.
: Send a patrol. And no slip-up.
: Yes, sir.
: [dramatic music]
: The parachute should've landed just around the bend.
: Keep down in the car.
: I'll have a look around.
: There's something spooky about this place.
: I agree.
: I have a suspicion we're being watched.
: Aah!
: [intense music]
: [man whistling]
: Hey, look.
: A flying platform.
: We've got to follow them.
: You're right.
: They will lead us to your dad and Race.
: There they go.
: Hey, they're going into that cave.
: [dramatic music]
: This is it.
: Look down there, Jonny.
: A door.
Jonny: I wonder how we can get in.
: I guess you just have to say, "Open sesame."
: [alarm ringing]
: Hey, what did I say?
: We better hide.
: It's opening.
: Hey, here's our chance.
: Before it closes.
Hadji: Hurry.
: slam Hey, where are we?
: Looks like some kind of a storeroom.
: I wonder what's in those boxes.
: Wait a minute. I got a match.
: It says E-X-P-L-O..
: Ex-explosives!
Hadji: Forget I asked you, let's get out of here.
: [dramatic music]
: We have to get past that guard.
: I've got an idea.
: [dramatic music]
: bam Right on target, Hadji. Quick, let's get him into the cart.
: Come on, pull!
: I'm pulling.
: [Jonny grunting]
: Gosh, he weighs a ton.
: Is that all?
: Hold him up.
: I got him.
: Let's go.
: Uh-oh, we got company.
: [dramatic music]
: At least they're considerate.
: It's a nice ride.
: Yeah, only I'd prefer a ride around the park.
: Hadji, look!
: It's Race and your father.
: We found them.
: Hang on. I'm gonna try some bad driving.
: [engine revving]
: Look what's coming, doctor.
: We have a hot rodder in our midst.
Race: Whoever he is, he ought to get a ticket.
: screech Race, look out!
Race: Nice work, Jonny.
: Three with one blow.
: I don't know how you boys got in here but let's get out of here fast.
Race: Right, doctor.
: Do you think these outfits will see us through, Race?
: Well, we'd stand a better chance, doctor.
: You boys okay?
: Okay, dad.
: Wait here. I've got a little house wrecking to do.
: Hey, what are you doing there?
: Who me?
: Yeah, you.
: Oh, me, huh?
: crash thud thud thud What happened to the lights, dad?
: Race took care of the generators, Jonny.
: Let's hope that slows them down for a while.
: [alarm buzzing]
: Sounds like they're after us.
Race: Got a break, doctor.
: The door is up.
Race: Hold on to your hats.
: Here we go.
: Better step on it, Race.
: What's up, Jonny?
: They're after us.
: With flying platforms.
: Flying platforms?
: I'll be.. He's right.
: Doctor, how fast can those things go?
: Too fast for this car, I'm afraid.
: And far greater maneuverability.
Jonny: They're gaining fast, Race.
: They're shooting at us.
: Keep your head down, fellas.
: [gunfire]
: Pretty good shooting.
: Hey, Race, they're slowing down.
: They're turning off.
: They're trying to cut us off.
: What do we do now, Race?
: Try to outfly 'em, Jonny.
: They did cut us off.
: Here they come, Race.
: [gunfire]
: Brace yourselves.
: We're doing a quick reverse.
: [tires screeching]
: We've got company again, Race.
: I know it. Hang on.
: [gunfire]
: [tires screeching]
: [gunfire]
: bam bam bam Our island owes you a great debt, Dr. Quest.
: Not at all, Your Excellency.
Governor: It would please you to know that all the criminals have been captured and imprisoned.
: Too bad Dr. Zin wasn't with them.
: And what about the installations?
: I have ordered the installations to be destroyed.
: [explosion]
Race: Well, that's the end of the volcano.
Dr. Quest: But you can bet it's not the end of Dr. Zin.
: And if I know Zin, we'll be meeting him again.
: And if we do, let's hope we can spoil his game again.
: And we're with you, dad.
: Right.
: [barks]
Dr. Quest: That makes it unanimous.
