Sebastián Piriz is an Argentinian comic book artist who co-created the 2024 Jonny Quest comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment. He works on the series with writer Joe Casey.
General overview[]
Writer Joe Casey was brought on first to work on a Jonny Quest comic book. He had a certain look for the comic in mind; he wanted art that invoked the original character designs by Doug Wildey and Alex Toth, but didn't just "regurgitate" it. Casey and his editor at Dynamite considered multiple artists, and they ended up reaching out to artist Sebastián Piriz, whom Casey didn't know.[1]
Sebastián Piriz regularly posts to social media, such as X/Twitter, Instagram, and Bluesky, and he sometimes posts frames of his original lineart for the Jonny Quest series.
