A robot spy is a spider-like robot created by Dr. Zin to spy on the Quest Team and Dr. Quest's research, and to otherwise remotely carry out Zin's plans.

Overview[]
The original robot spy consists of a large spherical body with four legs. The spherical body has an eye to view its surroundings and broadcast what it views back to Zin.
Variations of the robot spy can do other things, such as capture people inside of its body.[1] Miniature versions can be used as a swarm.[2]

In the Jonny Quest Dynamite comic book series, Zin uses a drone to remotely 3D-print a swarm of small robot spiders. The swarm initially goes after Jonny and Hadji, and the elderly Jonathan Quest neutralizes the swarm with an electromagnetic pulse.[2]
Jellystone TV series[]
The robot spy appears multiple times in the Jellystone! TV series. At the bowling alley Quest Bowl, run by Hadji and Jonny, the image of a robot spy is above the bowling alley, and a construction of the robot spy is part of the advanced Hock Mar bowling course.[3]
Race Bannon lives inside of a robot spy, and he's able to activate it for use.[4]
