Quotes[]
From an interview with Starlog magazine in May 1996: [1]
"What's cool about doing Jonny Quest is that it's real acting without using your full instrument," he offers. "I used to watch Jonny Quest when I was a kid. I liked the show because it didn't talk down to you and it made you think. I was initially reluctant to do it because I perceived it as being hard to do. But once I met with the producers, I found out that they basically wanted me to use my own voice. It has helped me as an actor, having to convey it all with my voice."
Notes/trivia[]
- When production changed hands between seasons 1 and 2, Patrick was replaced by Sonny Van Dusen, who was the voice of Race in the 80's series. Patrick's Texan accent for Race was met with criticism, since it wasn't faithful to the character, with Lance Falk comparing it to giving Batman a French accent. Although, Falk didn't have anything against Patrick, since he got him cast in an episode of Hanna-Barbera's SWAT Kats.
