The Quest Snowcat, or Questcat, is a vehicle used by the Quest team in snowy and icy terrains.
Overview[]
The Questcat is a snowcat, a truck-sized vehicle that moves over snow on large tracks. The cab has a large viewing windshield which lifts up to enter the vehicle from the front, and it has a back hatch. The vehicle runs on gasoline.[1]
The cab can be lifted and the tracks moved closer together for more compact storage; for full use, the tracks will expand and the cab will be lowered. The Questcat is transported this way in aerial vehicles such as the chinook helicopter or the Dragonfly.
History[]
The Questcat is carried in the Quest chinook helicopter. Dr. Quest, Race, and Hadji take the Questcat out to explore. When they almost go over a ledge, the local bigfoot-like creatures help pull the Questcat back to safety. The creatures then tear off the windshield and take Dr. Quest.[2]
The Questcat is carried in the Dragonfly, and the Quest Team uses it to make a quick escape as the Dragonfly crashes. When the Quest Team hear someone approaching, they send the Questcat off as a diversion while they hide.[3]
