Nuago is a local where Turu is kidnapping people in South America. While Nuago is canoeing with his brother Aku, Turu grabs Nuago and carries him off.

Nuago has brown skin, black hair, and dark eyes. He wears a purple bandanna around his neck, a green cloth around his waist, and a yellow band around his right arm.

Aku and Nuago share the metal Trinoxide with Dr. Benton Quest, which Dr. Quest is looking into to help with the space program.
After Nuago is grabbed by Turu, his brother Aku tells the Quest Team about the incident and accompanies them upriver to look into it. When Race Bannon and Dr. Quest follow Turu back to his home, they discover that Nuago and other kidnapped locals are being kept as slaves. An old man is forcing them to mine what he thinks is silver, but is actually a rare metal Trinoxide. After the deaths of Turu and the old man, Nuago and the others are freed.
Nuago and Aku accompany the Quest Team on the Amazon Queen back down the river.
