Plot summary[]
Jonathan undergoes a dangerous bio-scan to help find Jonny and Hadji, who have been kidnapped by Dr. Zin. He goes through with it despite Dr. Quest and Race's protests, and he hacks into military surveillance satellites to track the bio signal.
Aboard Zin's carrier aircraft, Jonny, Hadji, and Jasmine are still locked up. Jasmine asks Jonny where he's from, but he dodges the question and accuses her of working with Zin, but Hadji points out that she clearly didn't know she was working for him. Hadji brings up again how Jasmine looks like Jezebel Jade, and Jasmine reveals that her last name is Jade, and Jezebel was her grandmother. Together they work on a plan to break out.
Dr. Zin addresses the crew, saying that the key to eternal rule is to control time itself. The case that was taken from Jasmine is brought to Zin, but when he opens it he finds it empty. He demands that Jasmine be brought to him to reveal where she's hidden the missing components.
Dr. Quest, Race, Jonathan, and Bandit are in the Dragonfly tracking the signal to Zin's location. The crew on Zin's carrier respond to their approach by releasing a drone swarm. They take damage and Jonathan initiates a separation procedure, allowing them to land on the carrier. Race goes after the boys while Dr. Quest and Jonathan head to the engine room.
Meanwhile, Zin's crew gets Jasmine, Jonny, and Hadji from their cell and begin taking them to Zin. The three overthrow the guards -- who turn out to be robots. An alert immediately goes out that the prisoners are loose, and they run from more guards. Jasmine returns fire. Race finds them and shoots the rest of the guards. Race confronts Jasmine, recognizing her as the one who stole the components from him in Tokyo, and Jonny tells him that she's Jade's granddaughter. Jasmine takes off on her own. Jonny and Bandit chase after her. Race and Hadji are held up in a firefight with more guards.
In the engine room, Jonathan and Dr. Quest get to work hacking into the ship's systems and programming new coordinates. Dr. Quest tries to talk to Jonathan more personally, but Jonathan rebukes him, revealing that he's barely keeping it together with his father there and he can't talk to him about a life he hasn't lived yet. Dr. Quest agrees to back off, but then Jonathan slips away with him.
Jonathan gets to the flight deck and deactivates Zin's robots. Jonny and Bandit track Jasmine's scent, and they end up on the flight deck too. They're found by more of Zin's guards.
