Premise[]
Official synopsis for Jonny Quest #3 from Dynamite:
Jonny and the rest of Team Quest find themselves in the far east as they continue their search for a way back home, but death and danger are still hot on their heels - luckily, help is about to arrive in the form of a (sort of) familiar face!
The international dream team of writer JOE CASEY and artist SEBASTIAN PIRIZ continue to chart their globe-spanning adventure with Jonny Quest #3, buoyed by bracing covers from CHAD HARDIN, JAE LEE, TOM RANEY, and RICHARD PACE!
Plot summary[]
In Japan, Dr. Quest and Jonathan modify technology Fukunaga technology to fix Dr. Quest's Quantum Counter prototype. They don't want to implement the fixes there because they might not be able to control it. As Race is leaving with the case holding the tech, he's attacked by a young woman who steals the case. Elsewhere in the building, Jonny and Hadji have come across some motorcycles when they hear an intruder alert over the intercom. They see the young woman flee, and the boys chase her on motorcycles.
The boys catch up to her, and Jonny is able to cut her off, causing her bike to crash. She removes her helmet and the boys are shocked that she looks just like Jade, and she introduces herself as Jasmine. As the three are about to fight, they're confronted by a team of ninjas. Initially, Jasmine flees, leaving the boys to face the ninja alone, but she returns to help them. Hadji is grabbed by one of the ninja and held under his sword, forcing Jonny and Jasmine to surrender.
In the car with Dr. Quest and Race, Jonathan hears barking and recognizes Bandit. They stop the car and find the site of the attack.
Meanwhile, Jonny, Hadji, and Jasmine are taken aboard Dr. Zin's aircraft as prisoners. Zin confronts them in his hologram form. Jasmine calls him a creepy bastard and is upset that she was working for him and didn't know it. Zin reveals that in defeating the Quests this time, he will ensure his own immortality.
