Jonny Quest #0 is a preview comic of the Jonny Quest comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment. It was first released on May 4, 2024 for Free Comic Book Day. Jonny Quest issue #0 introduces the Quest Team and a shadowy individual watching them.
Jonny Quest #0 also contains previews for Thundercats #1 and Space Ghost #1. While the entire issue is 32 pages, only 10 pages are for the Jonny Quest story and an additional 2 pages for Jonny Quest art.
Premise[]

The fantastic scifi-adventure exploits of 11-year-old Jonny Quest as he travels to exotic locales around the world with; his scientist father Dr. Benton Quest, his adoptive brother Hadji, his bodyguard Race Bannon, and his faithful dog Bandit. Join the Quest team in tackling new government assignments, solving mysteries and apprehending sophisticated villains for the betterment of mankind.
Plot summary[]
It's 1964, and the Quest Team is on their ship the Sea Quest for Dr. Quest to do experiments with his new Quantum Counter device. An unexpected storm throws off their power, but they get the Sea Quest working and head back to Palm Key. As they approach, they notice that their home looks different, with more trees than usual on the island. They dock the Sea Quest and as they approach the main compound, they notice that it appears run-down. Race Bannon notices a shed that wasn't there a few days before when they left, and it bursts open to reveal a giant robot wasp. The Quest Team takes cover, and as the machine charges Jonny, he lifts the door of the shed and the robot crashes into it and is destroyed. Race notes that it had a kill shot but didn't take it. Hadji tells them to look at something, and they find a second Sea Quest beached. The second Sea Quest is rusted and decayed, like it's been there a hundred years. As the Quest Team considers their situation, a security camera is pointed at them, and a shadowy figure watches them onscreen from a dark room.
