In 1971, when Jonathan was about 18, Race told Jonathan to stop calling him Race. In 1989, Race passed away, and Dr. Quest passed away in 2004; Jonathan had them buried beside each other on Palm Key. Jonathan continued his father's work on UNIC, and kept up the island's defenses. At an unknown time, Jonathan and Hadji had a falling out.
2024 and on[]
Jonathan is on Palm Key when the young Quest Team arrives from 1964. Jonathan reveals himself to them, and helps defend everyone against Dr. Zin's ongoing attacks. He examines Dr. Quest's broken Quantum Counter device, and determines that they need to go to Japan for the parts to fix it. They take an updated version of the Dragonfly, and Jonathan has them stop in India on the way. He asks an elderly Hadji Singh to come with them to help, but Hadji refuses, so Jonathan and the team continue to Japan.
