The retail set includes only 7 Hadji's Clues cards (HC1-7); the hobby set included 10 cards (HC1-10), which are also numbered differently. Additionally, the Hadji's Clues checklist card is numbered #57 in the hobby set and #59 in the retail set.
The Action Quest checklist card was released as #59 in the hobby set, but was numbered #57 in the retail set. The reverse was done with the Hadji's Clues checklist card, which is #57 in the hobby set and #59 in the retail set.

Promotional folder[]
A tri-panel promotional folder was released, announcing the October 1996 release of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest Trading Cards. It contained two page inserts with promotional product descriptions and details concerning the release of the trading cards. A promotional card was mounted on one of the folder panels. Dimensions: 12" high, width = 9" closed and 26" open.
